Hotel-Condo Pendry Tampa Reaches $230 Million In Sales

While work at the site of the Pendry Tampa and Pendry Residences has been going on since early in the year, construction will formally begin Wednesday when the developers hold a ceremonial groundbreaking.

That is the day officials from Pendry Hotels & Resorts and Miami-based Two Roads Development will show up at the Ashley Drive property along with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor to make a few speeches and toss shovelfuls of dirt while construction crews, bystanders and invited guests look on.

New Hotel In Downtown Tampa officially Breaks Ground

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Downtown Tampa is adding yet another five-star hotel, as leaders and dignitaries took their ceremonial shovels to the dirt and sand on Wednesday for the official groundbreaking of the Pendry Hotel — though crews have been on site since January.

“Where else would you want to be?” asked Michael Fuerstman, co-founder of Pendry Hotels & Resorts. “The sun’s shining, we’re on the water, the Riverwalk’s incredible. We are big believers in this city.”
